Recyclable Archanai Card

Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayagar,  temple when paperless on Archanai Receipt, on 1st Jan 2020. The move was kick-start by Temple President – SKK Naidu.

Instead of issuing conventional Archanai Receipt for every purchase, a recyclable token card was introduced and all inventory was registered in Point of sale (POS) system.

It’s not particularly environmental friendly but also time spent filing, organizing, and searching for paper documents is time that could be spent on more productive tasks / service by our Front Counter Staff and Priest can provide to devotees. 

Thaipusam Celebration - Paal Kudam

Thaipusam is an annual festive events celebrated collectively  between two main temple in Brickfields.  Celebration starts with a Vigneswara Pooja as early as 4:00am at Sri Sakthi Karpaga Vinayagar, temple. 

Immediately thereafter, procession of devotees carrying “Paal Kudam” walks toward Sri Kandaswamy Kovil  with  devotional chants of  “Vel Vel Muruga.  The walk ends with morning pooja and Paal Abishegam for Sri Sakthivel Perumaan at Sri Kandaswamy Kovil.
